What it does
SatuMorpher is a free and opensource saturation plugin that mostly saturates sound, but you can also morph between two types of saturation. Choose one on the left and one on the right, mix to taste using Morph knob, adjust Drive and add some clean sound with Mix. Also, there is oversampling selector in the lower left corner.
Why
Once upon a time I got bored and decided to create some melodies. Being a backend web developer, I have Linux as my operating system. So I went for Reaper, made some loops and tried to add saturation. Unfortunately, there are no built-in saturation in Reaper, so it was time to go to KVR. To my surprise, there were no free saturators for Linux. That’s how it all began…
